The women's bathroom at Target smells disturbingly like Fruit Loops.

Chelsea's pre-birthday 18th come-as-an-8-year-old birthday party.

As a surprise a few of the girls came to my house early in the morning when I was at work and made me a huge fort/tent in the middle of the living room. It was a beautiful fort, big enough to sit 10 girls, filled with pillows and a big lantern hanging from the ceiling. Best surprise ever.

There is nothing quite like revisiting your awkward childhood.

Dance party covered all the classics, from the Hansons' one-hit-wonder MmBop to N'Sync and Britney Spears glory, to my personal favorite, Barbie Girl by Aqua. We went for 18 songs straight. Glorious.

A good use for cup-cakes.

...

Through a series of events that is most certainly God working, I am soon to have a series of my photographs published in a student art journal for Biola.

Short version of the story: A friend of a friend is working on an Art Journal as a school project at Biola (the university I am going to this fall) and her artist pulled out at the last minute. Emails were sent out asking for an artist willing to contribute to the Journal last minute and I was one of three chosen to be featured.

So within the next month or two, I will have 10 of my photographs professionally published in an Art Journal, an artist's profile and an essay printed as well. Which means publicity and a hugely cool thing to put on my resume.

This is really really cool- if only because lately I have been praying that if I am to pursue art in any way, that God would be opening the doors for me rather than myself trying to force my way through. And look what happened!

The film that came.

A little fairy tale I made up. Thanks to all the people who helped me brain storm, gave advice, and helped me find much needed footage.
